Chelsey Lloyd, Site Director, Amherst


Chelsey Lloyd, BS, LPTA

Chelsey Lloyd, LPTA, graduated with a bachelor’s of science in kinesiology and a concentration in exercise science from Liberty University in 2009. She then worked as a physical therapy tech at the Rehab Associates Forest clinic. Chelsey continued her education at Jefferson College of Sciences, earning an Associate of Applied Science degree as a physical therapist assistant in 2012. She was recognized for clinical excellence upon graduation.

Chelsey started her career as a physical therapist assistant at the Brookneal clinic before moving back to the Forest clinic. She now serves as the site director at the Amherst clinic.

Passionate about helping her patients in the outpatient setting to restore function, Chelsey has a special interest in general orthopedics and sports rehabilitation.

In her spare time, Chelsey enjoys hiking and camping with her family and golden retriever and she enjoys running outdoors.

Joelyn Cunningham, Physical Therapist 1


Joelyn Cunningham, PT, DPT

Joelyn Cunningham, PT DPT, or “Jo” as she is referred to by most of her patients, is a licensed Physical Therapist who graduated from Radford University with a bachelor’s in exercise science in 2011 and graduated as part of the inaugural class of Emory and Henry’s School of Health Sciences DPT program with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in May of 2018.

Dr. Cunningham’s clinical special interests are treating post-op total joint replacements and rotator cuff repair, as well as athletic injuries and patients with gait and balance dysfunction. The athletic population, specifically, holds a special place in her heart because she was a softball player for most of her life and played collegiately for two years.

Jo holds a steadfast commitment to restoring independence, promoting wellness, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients  in Amherst.

On a more personal note, when Jo is not treating patients, she enjoys spending valuable time with her husband, three children, and Great Dane, Bosely.

Bobbi Uhl, Physical Therapist


Bobbi Uhl, PT, DPT, CSCS, ATC

Dr. Bobbi Uhl is a licensed physical therapist who earned a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Lynchburg in May of 2026. Prior to her doctoral studies, she received her undergraduate degree in Athletic Training from Longwood University. Dr. Uhl is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a Certified Athletic Trainer. She is also certified in dry needling.

Dr. Uhl’s clinical passions lie in treating patients through vestibular rehabilitation, concussion management, sports medicine, and general orthopedics. She also plans to obtain advanced vestibular and concussion certification in the near future. Her treatment philosophy centers on helping patients of all ages and backgrounds feel their best while achieving their personal recovery goals. Dr. Uhl truly thrives on the diversity of her patients and enjoys tailoring her treatment approach to meet each individual’s unique needs.

In her spare time, Bobbi enjoys working out, golfing, reading, and hanging out with friends and family.
