There are certain factors that may prolong your recovery.
- Prior concussion
- Female vs. Male
- Age
- History of ADHD/ADD
- Neurological diagnosis
- Psychiatric diagnosis
- Prolonged loss of consciousness
- Vestibular diagnosis
It is expected that most people will spontaneously recover from a concussion in 7-10 days. If you are still having symptoms of nausea, headaches, fatigue, irritability or difficulty concentrating within 2 weeks following a concussion, then you may need further evaluation. Call RACV at 855-RACV4PT.
